He has now made 12 premiership games if the 15 game rule is correct, do we keep him and pay the 13m he is only 24, and looks a decent player now, i would keep him and pay the money, and offload the players i have mentioned before, or try and off load them.

Quite a tricky dilemma! He knows he is playing for his career….so his performances the last couple of games have really caught the eye. The question is, is he worth £15 million? Can he play consistently to a high standard? From what I have seen….he has a good touch, wins a lot of headers, plenty of pace, helps out in defence and passes the ball well. I would say better than Benteke. The players like him, judging by their reaction when he scored. Gut says….got to be worth a punt!

Pretty sure it has been stated before that the obligation kicks in if he starts 15 league games, not just appearances.

Personally I would keep him, we are not going to get an equivalent player for that money and he does seem to find himself in decent areas in the box, unlike Tekkers. Although Tekkers hasn’t been playing too badly of late, it’s another decision to be made.

Would rather see Edouardo as our main forward, Mateta too much "arms & legs" even though he sometimes comes up with the goodies. Goal vs Brighton and overhead kick last minute against the Hammers.

Thats not saying alot though is it Benteke suffers from clumsyitis so is never going to be the sort of player we all want to see in regards to anticipation and movement so we need to stop moaning about him not being this player, he has though shown that he can be a nuisance and could easily have scored last night if any of his shots hadn't been directly at Fabianski.
