He is a player i have always liked, i know a lot of cans don't but for me he is strong, fast, has a good shot on him, i think he is a valuable member of the squad

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn

I agree he always seems to inject some impetus when he gets on the ball. Ive always liked him and Ayew but they seem to get slated on here.

I like him too. He often makes a difference and, like Eze, he seems to enjoy playing. He’s the same age as Wilf but his enthusiasm is so much greater.

..but his football brain is much smaller. He seems to drift around in nowhere land for long spells. His famous question when Leicester beat Sunderland and got promoted all those years ago: "Are we going up?"
He has a wicked left foot that once in a while scores goals, but that is all. Far from good enough to start for Palace in 2021/2022.

Always been a big fan. Right up there for us. Fast skilful. Good tackle. Scores. Never moans. Very refreshing player.

He is a great impact player and a solid pro, but he is not a central midfielder. He's slow to make decisions unless it is to just run at the goal and his passing range is not great. I like having him in the squad and if he is given simple instructions like "just get in the box" he comes up with the goods. It'll be interesting to see if club renew his deal.

For me (despite the stick he gets on here sometimes) he may not be the most naturally gifted player that we have ever had but he works hard, never shirks the job at hand & he brings a strength of support to the team.

I remember Roy saying on more than 1 occasion that he actually has the hardest left foot shot in the club -

its a long season & there will definitely be times that we are glad to have him available either in the starting formation or to bring him off the bench.

From what i've seen renewing his deal is an obvious yes! We have more impetus when he plays, unlike Wilf the whinger who slows everything down.

Really good assessment. An instinctive player who often makes the wrong decisions around passes or positioning when playing in midfield - but stick him in the box and simplify his choices and he’ll come up with the goods on a regular basis. I hope he gets a new deal.

Pretty much agree with all the positive comments above.

He has a terrific engine, is powerful and strong in the tackle, gives his all when selected and seems to have a great attitude on and off the pitch. He has good pace and is direct and that is refreshing to see compared to the slow the game down foot on the ball stuff that we often get down that side. Plus he has an absolute peach of a left foot and has come up with some storming and important goals for us.

Geek fact . . .

Schluppy has scored the 1st & the last goal in 2021. Home V Sheff Utd(2-0) & Home V Norwich(3-0)

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.
