and so if my BBC news broadcast is banging on about equal opportunities for Football referees or climate change.....for what now seems like a constant stream of lefty propaganda....do you flip off the channel ? and is Sky equally patronising ? maybe GB news is also propaganda ? Like RT the russian news outlet, you always ask about the money-men behind the brand. The viewing-figures for GB News are looking very healthy. Is it a bit like Fox News in the US ? your opinions please. read the link and give us your thoughts Edited by PalazioVecchio (05 Dec 2021 10.39am)

In answer to the question Will GB News Trump the BBC and Sky? NO Both the BBC and Sky can afford to run their news services at a loss because they have other programming so they see it as a status symbol the cynical would call it a loss leader. News 24 costs over £100m pa and nobody watches it (viewing figures are so small they are below the threshold to count). GB News is just that they don't have any other entertainment streams so their revenue is entirely news based. Viewing figures for conventional news programmes are declining and I suspect the demographics are biased to older folk. When GB News started I said I can't see how it will be a success. I got fed up with the left bias I didn't change channels I just stopped watching the news and I suspect a lot of people feel that way. GB News is hoping for a dominant position in a declining market not a good business strategy.

I find GB news is a patronising stream of right wing diatribe and ranting anti woke bluster, often without any real evidence other than a perceived righteous indignation to support its stance. But at the same time glad it exists as any democracy needs voices across the political spectrum.

I hope so. Doubt it will tho, but at least you dont have to pay for it, unlike the 'Biased Bullshyte Co' & the 'woke' Sky
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Andrew Marr left 'to find his own voice'. And really that sums up these news services, they will do anything to avoid the issues, it is form of censorship. Sophie will not be giving offence this morning, a successful but useless act now for over 20 years. If they don't ask the questions, they will just get the same old bland political answers. Multiple stabbing outside your front door? Don't worry little Fido has just been re-united with his owners woof woof.
And don't forget your licence. Jolly hockey-sticks.

I watch GB News over the BBC and Sky and see no reason to change. My only issue in terms of bias is with the BBC because I am forced to pay for it. Once that stops, then the BBC can be as biased as it wants. Other than that, then it should be down to people's viewing preferences and the reality is that the more choices of journalism we have, the more we can make up our own minds about issues.

Where Nicky Campbell might have said, talking to Domonic Rabb- "so Domonic, where did the £47 billion PPE money actually go and when will the inquiry begin?". He now says,"so Domonic. where did the £47 billion PPE actually go and when will the inquiry begin? Not that you are the only party to lose billions, remember Gordon Brown and the gold sell off?" It makes me turn off the radio, or over at least. If the current bunch of thieves have had £47 billion away, call them out on it, don"t muddy the water by levelling up!Thats the price you pay for having a corrupt government with the power to cut your cloth!
