I'm starting to get worried now about our Pat. He looks utterly pickled and bemused. Maybe started to believe his own hype, over complicating things. He treatment of Eduoard is really odd, totally negating his effectiveness by playing a natural finisher out wide on the left. Last Saturday he plays negatively with two holding midfielders when we needed more legs (Schlupp) and goes more attacking away from home last night. Letting Cahill go looks a huge mistake when another year of nuturing would have helped the talented, but very green Guehi. Also it does not help when the press jump the gun and start predicting that Patrick could end up at Man City soon. He was only at New York not long ago!!! This could end up with a Pardew-like 6 or 7 defeats on the spin!! Honestly it could be that bad.

I'm afraid I must disagree. Cahill was an injury waiting to happen and when he was brought in last season took 2 or 3 games to get up to speed. If we hadn't lost his massive wages we wouldn't have been able to attract some of the new signings.
Tomkins last night I felt was one of our better players.

We have lost or drawn mainly down to individual errors, not tactics. This is where being a manager is frustrating. I watched the first half of Newcastle match, within 10 minutes their CB was sent off, that’s not Howes fault, he didn’t tell him to pull Pukki over, same as Vieira didn’t tell Guehi to lead with his arm up to head the ball, thus giving away a penalty and the match.

Oh bore off. Everyone in the football world is impressed with the job he has done so far. He's not overcomplicating anything, mealy trying to find some solutions to injuries. We weren't terrible last night, and if luck had been on our side we would have walked away with 3 points.

Cahill was offered an extension but left, wouldn't have played if he was here either. And MG's handball was a mistake, The guy is seriously gifted, cut him some slack.

Only Chelsea, City, Liverpool and Brighton have lost fewer games than us this season but sure, we're going to lose seven in a row.

Ridiculous.

give the guy a break. Have you forgotten how bad things were at Palace up to the end of last season? Hundreds if not thousands of fans bored into surrendering their season tickets due to the utter dross served up every week.

We've seen what's possible from PV, if we were able to produce performances like against Spurs and City every week then we'd be in contention for the Premier League title and Champions League contenders. But we're not, and that's the difference.

This season was always going to be about transition. We're now having a dose of realism after some exceptional performances. PV can see everything that we're seeing and he'll know where the problems are. We have plenty of talent to break into the first team, and clear areas to invest in new players. Relax, and enjoy the ride.

This is where we learn if PV is up to the task. Every team outside the top 6 go on a loosing run at some stage in a season. most seasons we have a 5 game loosing streak.

The question is can PV pull us out of that loosing streak that we go on every season regardless of the manager.

It's all about performance, last night we didn't deserve to lose and even against Villa where we underperformed in the first half and again gave away a ridiculous goal from a corner we played well enough in the second to deserve not to lose the game, I'm not worried because we have amazing talent to help Zaha now, moan.u will not have an easy game.

f***s sake our fans are “special” arnt they.

regardless of what any of you think, we are still a bottom 3rd PL club at heart & need to remember that.

we are still playing ayew which speaks volumes.

we need to spend another £100m to be a top half club.
