If we can't get him next season who would be good enough to replace him?

Possible replacements we could afford

Normann from Norwich

De Cordova-Reid from Fulham

Any replacement would be like Alcohol Free Beer after Gallagher.

...but he lacks the aggression and potent tackling of Gallagher.

That's what i would do, starting next year. wilf, Edouaed, Olise, Eze in the Gallagher role, and maybe two tackling midfielders, because we aint going to get Gallagher, Rak-Sakyi on the bench, also schlupp can be backup for Eze

Id go up to £35m for Gallagher. That should do it with a 3 year buy back guarantee.
Plus he will play every week with us. Probably Europe the way things are going.

Great call - he was electric for Norwich vs Brentford on Saturday. He was their team's winning factor.

I say break the bank and negotiate now.

Leave it much longer and his value will increase by £1 million per game with the possibility of being picked for the full England squad.

At 21 years old he may burn himself out with such energy but he is now a pivotal man in our team and worth £50 million.

This is one occasion when the bank will be worth blowing.

I was wondering about Normann as well. He's only on loan at Norwich (from Rostov) and was sold to Rostov by none other than that team at the other end of the M23/A23.

He seems the right kind of player but his match winning performance against Brentford may just be a flash in the pan, although he is a Norwegian international (as is Sorloth, of course). The rumours seem to be that PV wants Anguissa from Fulham, but why would he want to come to us when he's tearing it up on loan in Serie A with table-topping Napoli?
