The BBC and Sky seem to be making quite an effort to legitimise this abomination. Is this really an exciting mass market spectator sport as they’d have us believe, or are they just caving in to the baying of wimmin demanding equality which would otherwise be unobtainable? Personally, I have no interest in watching football played to the standard you’d find in a half decent school’s First XI. The whole thing’s a travesty. Discuss.

Well at least I will prefer it to a Transgender competition which, if the Labour party has anything to do with it, is the next progression. Women's cricket is rapidly improving and I enjoy it even if many are as flat chested as 'female' athletes (oops, I'll get me coat)

Pushing it is a double win for the BBC, woke points plus they can screen “top level” football for peanuts.

It's on a par with women's cricket but at least women footballers look fairly fit (in the old fashioned sense) whereas many international women cricketers are somewhat portly

It’s sh*t. Bad enough having them commentating on the men’s game , when it comes up on the screen, natalie mason 500 goals in 120 games for England. Oh please f*ck off.

Last Sunday afternoon I looked to see what was on Sky Sports and on the footie channel it was women's football and on the cricket channel it was women's cricket so I gave up, switched off and went to the garden centre instead
