Just started a job on a really big new build house , the project manager repeatedly said that it was for a footballer, I didn’t bite and ask who it was.

I’ve had sciatica lately and took 2 tablets that were prescribed for a mate at work. Since reading the packaging again it says ‘1’ tablet twice a day, so I was really wired.

Popped up there yesterday and wayne routledge was walking round the house with the builder. I had a brief chat and started thinking to myself ‘ you’d better go, you’re off your f*cking nut’

Googled him and see that he’s 36 now and retired.
Was never really sure how good he was at Palace, as at that time all you had to do was pas it to AJ.

Seemed like a nice enough fella, although a little stressed as the job is really over schedule. I on the other hand probably came across like Zammo in 1986.

casual,
the sciatica..
a very unpleasent condition, toothache in yer bum .
Anyway, i get it every now & then & it goes on for weeks sometimes.
Last time out i was advised to do this, it worked immediatly, but I guess it may depend?

stand end of bed, put out one leg, bent at knee onto bed.
hold knee and stretch, pull yourself forward for a few mins in a rocking back n fwd motion.
change legs & repeat.
good luck.

Kids, tired of being bothered by your pesky parents?
Then leave home, get a job & pay your own bills, while you still know everything.

Nice story about Wayne, but on the sciatica front, get yourself on an inversion table. I suffered in agony for 6 months, got myself an inversion table for £50 after spending hundreds with osteopaths and cured myself in 5 minutes.

Wayne broke into the first team at Palace quite young I thought he would go on to be a great player. He was good but never really improved much. I've seen that a lot with Palace players, Mullins was another one decent player but when they are a teenager you always hope they will continue to improve not stand still.

595 games, so not a bad career. Hopefully he’s been a bit sensible and saved a few quid.

He was a good player. Not Wilf / Clyne / AWB / Moses standard but certainly on the second tier of academy graduates with the likes of Ben Watson.

Imagine being retired at 36 though. I'm 36 and still trying to decide which career I want.

Don't worry mate. By the time you're 74 you'll have it all sorted. Take it from one who knows.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Ha. Everyone gets charged the same , although I do apply a £50 fine for every time a builder calls himself a ‘developer’ or when they call a customer a ‘client’. So it might be a few quid more

Cheers mate. I’ll try that. I have been doing reformer Pilates , it has helped.
