Not seen hide nor hair of the old boy for quite a few weeks now. Does anyone have any news on him?

You'll find him predicting doom and gloom on the Tottenham prediction thread...

What does he look like? I’ll keep my eyes open for him.

In dog beers I’ve only had one.

I wouldn't be surprised if he became tired of people abusing him for delivering calculated thoughts in decent English and with good grace.

It seemed to me that he was a valid target for some on here with poor taste and bad manners.

So, I would quite understand if he has decided to make no further contributions and to withdraw gracefully from HOL.

If, indeed that is the case, it is our loss and his gain and I wish him well.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

He'll be back soon. I am informed that he is in sunnier climes with Mrs Willo at the moment.

I've always found him polite (even when I've criticised his beloved Tories) and fair. His posts are well written and often funny and I've never really understood why some have such an issue with him.

I don't think anyone loves the Tories after breaking two election manifesto pledges in a single day, a decent Prime Minister such as Harold Macmillan would have called a General Election rather than be tainted as a liar.

I PM'd him a while ago, worried about him, he seemed to think his contributions not worthy and has decided to give up for now. I didn't at all see the point in some of the abuse he got. At least this is a Willo thread.
However, he has left before and come back again. A lot of posters have.

some people are just a bit argumentative I suppose - Willo's a gent, look forward to his return from whichever cathedral city or rambling trail he is currently exercising his appreciative and comtemplative proclivities (I can't do big words like he does).

Give it a rest beak. Boris acknowledged that his proposed tax increases to fund social care reform weren't in the Tory's manifesto. At least he hasn’t tried to fudge it. It'll fund a top up for the NHS too after the backlog caused by Covid.

People have been crying out for improvements to the way elderly folk are dealt with and this is the first time in decades that a government has tackled it with vigour.

The government have had an unprecedented epidemic to cope with and, in the circumstances, have handled it as well as anyone could IMO.

As Boris said yesterday, "A global epidemic wasn't in our manifesto either".
