Seen us mentioned a few times today with the Liverpool forward, just makes me nervous dealing with them for any player.

They will probably insist on a buy back clause and 40% of any future transfer.

''this will do you nicely''
they must rub their hands when we roll up.

Is Origi good? Yes.

Is he worth buying at the right price and terms? Yes.

Is he worth buying at the wrong price and terms? No.

All this nonsense about Liverpool being too good at negotiations is absurd.

Pay the price we want to pay and no more. Mever believe we can't establish correct value to suit our requirements.

Right price would be less than 10 million I reckon - but is he the type of striker that we need?
I think we need someone who will show for the ball, can hold on to it and has the vision to pick a pass. Not sure we’d be able to afford him but Dolberg would be a great signing this window imo.

For what it’s worth whoscored.com judges players in particular areas of strength and weakness based on stats from the last two seasons.

Origi rates

Long shots - strong
Finishing - weak
Crossing - weak
Holding onto the ball - weak
Discipline - weak
Defensive contribution- weak.

Odsonne Eduard for comparison rates
Dribbling - very strong
Long shots - very strong
Finishing - strong
Passing - strong
Key passes - strong

Our forward options consist of Mateta and Benteke... Virtually any striker is what we need... And Origi is better than both of them.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

If he is going for a sensible price its 100% worth a go.

The guy unfortunately has found himself behind one of the most potent strike forces in world football, so only really seen a couple of sub appearances for the last few seasons.

But I feel like whenever Salah and co have been out he’s stepped up. Most notably that CL turnaround against Barca

He has never hit double figures for goals in his career and whenever I've seen him come off the bench in the last year or so he has fluffed his lines in a team that creates a hatful of chances. I really don't see what he offers that Bentenke doesn't?

If Liverpool let him go on the cheap then maybe worth a shot if we can't get a proper goal scorer, but they will no doubt want silly money.

Surely there are better options out there?

Don't think he would be any different to what we have, we need a fox in the box or another AJ.

happy to be proved wrong but i dont see him as being any better than michi is.

perennial bench warmer who seems happy to pick up wages without really playing much, he probably thinks he would be doing us a favour by coming here.
