Heard he's a free agent. The colours are somewhat similar, so why not, he knows he looks good in them.

34. Will start to decline soon. No evidence he can deliver in a tough league like the premier league. It's a no from me.

I wonder if City will dump their pursuit of Kane and go for Messi instead?

I think if we offload EVERYONE, to clear the wage bill, and play Messi up front, with 10 Academy players, we might be able to afford him.
I am not a bot. No, seriously, I'm not. |

Messi won't play in England. It would be far too much like hard work. Far easier and just as lucrative to continue in an uncompetitive 'continental' league where silly money is also available
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

Perhaps we picked the wrong time to switch the red and blue stripes to diagonal, this old codger with failing eyesight would recognize the stripes making his passing to someone in our team much more likely and clearly doesn't need a salary of more than £10,000 a week.

You have to feel sorry for Messi now even his beloved Barca can't afford to keep him. He agreed to cut his £78m salary in half too. How's an old bloke expected to scrape by on a mere £39m? But nevertheless he agreed to it. Now his club say that even that paltry salary is more than they can afford. Tough luck Lionel, maybe PSG will cough up.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

This could work for a big team. I know he's 34 but if you wanted to buy him, how much would he cost. That fee is dead money as you won't get it back in the future. So you save let's say 60m. There's his wages over 2 years. He'll probably want a 5 year deal but you negotiate that wage over the term. You never get your money back on transfer fees when a player is over 28, well rarely. If he stays fit it could work. All the shirt revenue would help offset wages. Just a thought....
