My suggestion for a young CB would be Dion Sanderson from Wolves. Newacatle are after him at £1.5 million. What ever we think about Bruce he does understand defenders. He is a low risk option who has performed well on loan in EPL. He could learn from our senior pros such as Cahill and Tomkins

At Sunderland, I saw him play as the right-sided centre-half in a back four.

He only signed for them on 16/10/20 so his Sunderland games have been played post COVID outbreak and therefore behind closed doors (apart from the two Lincoln City Play Off games which had limited entry to home season ticket holders / club members).
