Eze set for a long spell on the sidelines according to the Athletic. Hope it doesn't have a lasting effect, he's been brilliant so far!

Absolutely awful news. This has just made the difficult summer near impossible.

Achilles is such a nasty injury. Really hope he has a good recovery. What a bad end to such a positive first season for him.

Such a shame, for the team and Eze himself.
The new manager might have to do without the services of Eze when the new season commences.

He was magical against Villa.

Poor sod.

At least-- for him and us-- it's happened now when there's nothing to play for and summer is coming.

A ruptured Achilles would be 8-12 weeks of repair time (source Bupa website) and you can basically double that for the rehab (my guess). So 4-6 months if it's as bad as suggested.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Speaking from experience if he ruptured his acchilies he and medics would have known straightaway. And if he has 4 months at least.

A rotten end to a superb debut season from him. Hope it's less serious than initially thought and he recovers ASAP.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...
