You won't for the simple reason that Brexit, on both sides of the divide, is actually primarily about identity rather than economics.

Now I never quite got how important being 'European' was to so many on the Remain side. For Leavers then issues of national sovereignty were primary but for Remainers, whilst they hid behind the entire project fear schtick, when push came to shove they actually truly valued the notion of wider shared European identity. Losing that, due to the votes of us ignorant, bigoted Gammons hurt them in a way that many of us have failed to comprehend. Making their tears even more delicious to savour.

Yes, we get bombarded with the negative sides of Brexit but to be fair, that is how the media works. The mantra, 'if it bleeds, it leads' is true across every subject and bad news gets the views.

'C'est la vie' as a European might say. Such is the way of the world. And we should all take comfort from the fact that both the BBC and the Guardian are dying institutions. Neither will exist in their current form in 10 years times with our departure from the EU probably speeding their mutual demise up.

Clearly whilst a very well-read and knowledgeable man he is hardly the most enthusiastic EU advocate, is he?

Eurosceptics exist in all countries. Especially those who work in the UK and have ties to Eurosceptics here.

Looks to me as though he is highly ambitious and has political axes to grind. Most of which are in Berlin and not London. Worth watching him.

Brexit is generally forecast to be more damaging than covid at 9.5% lost GDP.

But all these things are subjective.

With brexit, just look at all the damage around you.

Jobs, investment, the UK breaking up, dreadful EU trade deal, businesses re-locating abroad, you know it really.
