If it comes, it will be time to no longer acknowledge the Top 4 Premier League's fans and maybe Spurs and City whose fans are not so glory hunter esque like the other 4 clubs.

One of the blockers for this not happening in the past was the fans. After all who could afford Barcelona week 1, Milan week 2 etc.

Unfortunately COVID has demonstrated to the PL that you don't actually need fully packed stadium,s every week to survive.

So one possible scenario would be the big 6 joining the super league and keeping the TV rights for their matches to themselves. Fans could then watch every away game on telly and possibly even all the home ones.

I suspect that some of those involved have already been crunching the numbers to see which is the best option, less or no away fans versus total control over TV revenue and not having to share that revenue with the rest of the football family.

Let's hope it doesn't happen.

Of course because they have lost the revenue from home matches and I was really referring to the elite 6 for example Man United and the loss of fans for away games.

They can pack Old Trafford for their home games and don't care if the away supporters can't afford to come from Rome or Madrid. They won't miss them.

They have a global appeal so their fans around the world are happy to watch on TV. They wouldn't have to share any revenue with the other PL clubs or the FA so more money for them.

What COVID has demonstrated is that people will still watch games on TV even with no crowds or atmosphere. The big 6 wont be bothered if they lose a few thousand traditional fans who like playing Palace and Fulham because they can pick up more TV fans.

I can see the rule about not showing live football at 3pm Saturday going for good.

All of the above of course is completely selfish and does nothing for the sport but I suspect this will happen.

One more point

What makes me laugh is there’s nothing super about Arsenal or Tottenham so why would they be invited? Also why would other clubs agree to a league which is completely dominated by English clubs?
