Haven't seen anything about the two signing we have made on here. We have signed Jake O'Brien from Cork City on loan with an option to buy and also Danny Imray from Chelmsford on a permanent. Does anybody know much about them potential wise?

I'm from Chelmsford and my son plays for Chelmsford City Under 12's so we usually get free tickets a couple of times a season and I usually watch them another couple of times. Of course that's not been possible. I know Imray was highly rated, but was a bit of a shock to see that he'd signed up by Palace. Of course it's quite big news from Chelmsford City's perspective, though a hell of a jump in quality. One of the boys teams (probable under 15's or 16's) is really good and have not only been top of their division but beaten the comparative team of Colchester Utd, who are of course a professional set up (4-1 I think?)

Also managed by Glenn Pennyfather for a few seasons. Chelmsford City are the opposite of Palace, they have got in the play-offs for the Nationwide Conference around 6/7 times and never promoted. Only got to the final once, to be leading 1-0 at half-time to 10 men Ebbsfleet and still lose 2-1. Should have been elected to the football league in 1971 instead of Hereford as they finished 4 points ahead of them in the Southern League. However, it was the days of being voted in and the year Hereford had their FA Cup run. Originally posted by Willo
