Amazon tablets are cheap but they do not run on Android so if you need Google Play Store it's not for you.

I would recommend the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1" . I've had mine for about 3 years and it does everything I need it to. Has the play store and Microsoft package installed, and is quite fast. Other than that I'm not really techy!!

It is not preinstalled but you can download it although you would need to have some basic IT knowledge. Just google can I install Google play store on my amazon tablet and it will tell you how. The other point I would make is Amazon does have its own store so depending on which apps you need they may already be on there. In terms of money they are always doing a deal so you can pick up a cheap one especially black Friday.

First question is what are you wanting to use the tablet for? Secondly, you can load google play store on an Amazon Fire and other devices, you just have to load it from an APK. Takes about 5-10 minutes. Only caveat is that a small percentage of the apps you download from there will be temperamental when updates are done to the tablet OS. Edited by JohnB (17 Nov 2020 9.51am)

I have added Google Play Store successfully to my fire HD, and not that difficult.
