The bloke is a bit special. Shame he plays for that mob

Interesting comment about people on Twitter apparently accusing him of being uneducated

I really like ‘we require guidance’ from number 10.

You had Tory MPs patronising him of course. One was Steve Baker, one of the architects of Vote Leave, who condescendingly told him that the Tories couldn't afford to keep free school meals running through the holidays because they need to get on top of Quantitative Easing.

As if QE was designed to support working class kids who can't bring in packed lunches! The disdain and ignorance of our government about real working life is incredible.

He's a good lad and clearly has a passion for helping the disadvantaged. With cynicism and self interest all around us, his actions are deserving of praise.

Well, the sad thing is our Prime Minister’s child may also have to go without. Apparently Boris may not be able to afford the fees for Eton.

I think extending it to Easter holidays meant it was never going to go through. Not saying it won’t be needed again but making it more permanent is never going to please a big Tory majority.

Ben Bradley MP, who on top of his 6 figure taxpayer funded salary took over £50 thousand in expenses last year.

Maybe we should decrease his dependency on the state?

MPs don’t earn six figure salaries. I believe it 81k pa. A similar amount to what Rashford earns in about 3 days.

But Bradley and his government do control a treasury that extends into the hundreds of billions. Apparently feeding hungry kids over the holidays though is unaffordable.

It shouldn't be up to Rashford to make this point. But when the pigs' noses are so deep in the trough they are blinded to the rest of us stuck in their sh*t.

It's easy to be philanthropic when you are bringing in millions of pounds per year. Maybe he should start off a PL players fund towards this. If they all donated 5% of their salary to this then let me see:

Say average pay in PL equal £30k per week x 20 teams x 25 players per squad = £780m p.a. x 5% = £39m

Now if the government were to say that is tax deductible from their salaries then the players could afford quite comfortably to provide say up to £40m per annum towards childrens meals. Now that would be philanthropic and worthy.
