Hi guys need some flooring advice.Need to put down either some new laminate or solid wood flooring in a rented flat would like to obviously do as cheap as possible but not too cheap if that makes sense? Any ideas on best products bearing in mind it's a rented flat but I want it to last .Thanks

Laminate is also longer lasting No brainier mate

Thanks Tom,Was going down the laminate road but someone mentioned solid wood ,but guess if I went for a good quality laminate would probably be suitable

If you go for the click-fit option, rather than glue/nail down, you can even take it with you if/when you move

The better clicklock is the one with the bevelled edge. Doesnt show if joints have separated a little.

I have engineered Oak solid wood floating floor. Over ten grand's worth downstairs. I can state categorically, I would have been just as happy with a mid price laminate. Edited by ASCPFC (03 Oct 2020 4.50pm)
