Hi guys need some flooring advice.Need to put down either some new laminate or solid wood flooring in a rented flat would like to obviously do as cheap as possible but not too cheap if that makes sense? Any ideas on best products bearing in mind it's a rented flat but I want it to last .Thanks

Good quality laminate any day. Way cheaper but looks like engineered wood. Laminate is also longer lasting

No brainier mate

Thanks Tom,Was going down the laminate road but someone mentioned solid wood ,but guess if I went for a good quality laminate would probably be suitable

If you go for the click-fit option, rather than glue/nail down, you can even take it with you if/when you move

Most certainly not European.

The better clicklock is the one with the bevelled edge. Doesnt show if joints have separated a little.

I have engineered Oak solid wood floating floor. Over ten grand's worth downstairs. I can state categorically, I would have been just as happy with a mid price laminate.

Too right. Basically the issue with the engineered Oak is that it looks like a laminate but costs a bomb.
