Our prime minister, has said , that if more than 6 people gather they will be "breaking the law", yet , on Tuesday, one of his cabinet has said we are breaking international law, in the new brexit bill.Obviously some or lots on here will agree with breaking international law in this case, but if our government admit to breaking international law, who can complain when people in the uk say fcuk the law, you can choose which bit you want to follow, and which bits you can break, just a little bit?

People break laws all the time? Ever gone over 70? It's not the law as much as what the consequences are for breaking it. The Police regularly ignore the breaking of laws and selectively enforce depending upon their priorities. Other countries also regularly break international laws.

To be honest I don't understand what this all means so I will have to wait for the "cheats" explanation. It sounds like a bit of posturing and a threat to the EU to hurry up and make a deal (Trump style). But I wouldn't worry Croydon another poster on here is always telling us we should trust our MPs especially over Brexit so I am, sure they will do the right thing.

Chatting to a copper mate of mine on Sunday, he said he was too busy trying to catch people who smash other people over the head with a brick in a bag, or lacerate people with kitchen knives to worry to much about covid laws....but then he is based in Swindon. *both above happened on his last shift, a Thursday afternoon!

The Uks withdrawal deal is not worth the paper it is written on, the UK will not keep to it in any case. That is what its about. If the EU are going along with that, its their problem, they are not the brightest. With no deal we shall see the consequences, estimated yesterday at 3.2 trillions. The UK is now morally as well as fiscally bankrupt. The cost of no deal is estimated to be 3.2 trillions. Every day the government is spending billions zillions, they have no responsibility at all, they are quite happy to plunge future generations into an abyss.

When the EU say breaking international law, I always say, fair enough - get a navy and air force - otherwise it's called pissing into the wind.

With respect. This is an infantile comparison. One is a negotiating tactic to get what is best for the British Isles and stop Europe dictating to us and the other is to save lives.

But however this pans out, this will not have been this country's finest moment. Sometimes when s*** is s***, you have to accept that even if you are quite happy for it to be flung about. Edited by Matov (10 Sep 2020 1.50pm)

Lord Howard(of all people), has said in the lords he never thought he would see the day when a gov minister would utter those 5 words(we are breaking international law), he said let alone a CONservative gov minister, he said we can no longer criticise China, Russia or Iran on law breaking if we are doing the same, i have to agree with him(never thought i would say that!). Knowing this government, and it"s leader domonic, i realise they will probably pull out just before cummings (ooops i say), does another u turn , but it doesn"t look good on us-even in the senate they have disgussed it saying the trade deal(with our besties remember), will go out the window if this goes ahead. It"s the people who HAVE to work to live and their children who will be paying for all this gov mess remember-the likes of boris and the old Etonians will just fcuk off to California when the real crap hits the fan!Leave the eu-so we can do a real deal with our closest buddies- but leave illegally(in gov ministers words), and we don"t get that deal- it"s a race to the bottom- but we are all in this together!

I believe maybe Cameron's deal could have been done.
