I expect this is Star Lane? One of the biggest Travellers sites in the country and a cause of much pain and suffering to the good people of St Mary's Cray.

One more point

My issue is that Travellers appear to be a protected group with the media. I don't like generalising about groups but when was the last time you saw a drama on TV where the vilians were travellers?

The TV drama is a group of travellers move into an area and crime starts happening, the finger is pointed at the travellers unfairly and eventually the culprit is unmasked as a local and we all learn a life lesson about prejudice.

That is fair enough to a point but I don't remember seeing many dramas where they are actually guilty so there is no balance.

One more point

Out here in SK there is a sizeable Roma Gypsy community & its where the police spend most of the time dealing with Crime.

You'll find 3rd world shanty towns and derelict soviet tower blocks all over Slovakia, now these blocks were not always like this, Slovak governments over the years have spent an absolute fortune renovating these blocks with everything and then allowing the Roma people to move in only for the homes (within hours) to be stripped of absolutely anything of worth & sold off.
Its not uncommon for Roma families to simply pour their toilet waste, food waste etc right out the window onto the floor below, one such story that made the news recently here was a dead baby tipped out the window with a bucket of s***.

Its f***ing grim, many Roma's do integrate, join the army etc and create a life for themselves, Slovaks by and large appreciate what they had to overcome and are fully accepted into society however many hold onto their culture no matter how bleak it makes their future & are utterly despised.

What is it with people like you?

How many travellers have to be criminals before you accept that we would be better off without all of them?
20%? 30%? 70%?

You do not live in the real world.

I never gave them a huge amount of thought until a coked up car full of them threatened my son, daughter, my wife, son in law and a couple of other family members for no reason at all a few years back. They were gone by the next morning but had we not been able to show the better part of valour at the time to protect everyone, it would have got very ugly.

These people have no decency and the law doesn't want to deal with them.
