I know what you means. Some lazy buggers can’t even be bothered to learn spelling or grammar.

Yes I'm absolutely desperate to start spending 600 quid and 20 hours a week commuting again just to save some overpriced coffee shop. Can't wait.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

People are working, from home, it's not a matter of being lazy, imo.

People and companys have discovered that they can work from home. Imagine that your productivity has not dropped, you get to spend time with your children, your health is better. Your stress levels are lower, you have more time to eat well and keep fit and you save thousands of pounds a year by not having to comute.

Train companys have been leeching off the people for too long. Purposely making train ticket purchases hard to work out, so you don't buy the cheapest ticket, well above inflation price increases for decades, etc.

Add to that, that people have been scared by Corona.

In the U.K. we work the longest hours in Europe and have some of the lowest levels of productivity. Far from being lazy, a lot of people and companys have woken up.

Having said that, a lot of businesses will go under, that's never good but there is a significant body of people that don't want to spend they're lives, working all the hours God sends, so that someone else can live well.

It does seem as though you may have had a bit of a bad day. Deep breaths, there will always be some that do less than others, we aren't all the same. Not all work is suited to all people.

There is a saying that no one, on they're death bed ever said, "I wish I had spent more time in the office".

I’m just joking Nicky.

It’s hard to know why some are lazier than others. All my three sprogs had the same upbringing, my daughters are helpful and hard working yet my boy is a lazy f@cker (yes you, you lazy c@nt, if your reading this)

Getting bogged down in government funded nothingness is the cause of most laziness and thumb twiddling. It pays to have a bit of ambition and aspiration in life. That's the real red meat rather than the dressing. Get out there lazy b******s!

I think there is a big difference between working from home and being furloughed. Some people who work in the public sector have been on full pay and have done nothing since the start of the lock down. They either don't care or think there job is safe.

A word of caution on those who are working from home. My neighbour is a city high flyer he pointed out that the downside of working from home is on people's careers. In essence you have to be seen to be doing a good job.

As I am retired I hadn't thought about this aspect but then I recalled the amount of times I was walking past an informal meeting and got involved in solving some one else's problem, just a quick 5 minute chat. That's the type of thing your boss takes notice. On several occasions we had major disasters on our hands I and several others stepped up to the plate whilst a couple of the golden boys went missing.

If your not bothered about a career working from home is great, if you are you need to work out how to stand out from the crowd.

The other danger in working from home is that if your employer can see that the only criteria they need for one of their staff is wifi and a laptop there will be many businesses thinking that someone else in the world can do your job for significantly less money & benefits than you.

Be careful what you wish for...

Some have been off for months and not working from home on full pay, and are refusing to come back or send there kids to school, they even expect phase return when they do come back to work they are taking the mick, those that have worked flat out are worn out.
