I'm not sure if this is a silly suggestion or not. I know we have a very aging squad but Silva is pure quality and leaving Man City. Would it be worth signing him? He is 34 now but if we was to sign young players like Eze etc imagine having Silva in our midfield creating chances for us..

It's ALWAYS about a bob or two more. He's pretty old, thinks about his family and his children. Can't imagine him refusing a high salary from the Premier League or the Arab world just to play in the Champions League with no-name Lazio, who have never qualified in the last 10 years. A question should be popped to his agent, just in case. Sure, there is competition, but he is a Top 6 team player which no Top 6 team seems to want anymore. So it's a fight between the likes of Everton, West Ham,Southampton, Crystal Palace, Valencia, Sevilla, Lazio.

He didn’t leave because city didn’t want him he left because he wanted to play in different league. It’s definitely not always about money. This makes me think your ‘knowledge’ is based purely on stats and / or football manager. Gave you benefit of the doubt before. Absolutely no way in the world he’d have left city for another premier league team let alone us.

He's 34 and maybe he wants to prolong his career at the top by playing in a league that is not so fast paced as the PL. Besides Rome or Manchester I know which one I would choose.

LOL I’ve seen some silly suggestions in the past but this one is up there. Prem legend rejects contract to stay at Man City to sign for Palace...why???
