I thought he improved them, frankly. They do like to pull the trigger. It's now back firing on them.
If we were in a relegation fight (which we usually are) we could do far worse than Pearson. I wouldn't trust him other than that though! And Pardew, not seeing what he could do. Perhaps Allardyce needs some dosh.

When he joined Watford after they had played 16 PL games, they were rock-bottom on 9 pts, 6 pts behind 4th from bottom A.Villa who had a game in hand and a much superior goal difference.

Very surprising decision.Perhaps they are preparing for Championship next season, although with Bournemouth imploding this afternoon,Watford may well stay up!!

It was only back in February when Roy was favourite to be the next manager go. I feel bad for Pearson, under him they at least now have a fighting chance of staying up. Punishment for the West Ham result? A bad time for a trigger happy disruption like this.

Believe Pearson has acquired more points since restart than Roy and yet he gets sacked.
Possibly time for Roy to be ' pensioned' off if we put in another miserable performance away to Wolves.
Sean Dyche anyone??

I'm not sure McArthur would be that keen on the idea.

This is the third manager Watford have sacked this season, the others being Garcia and Sanchez Flores.
Perhaps Hayden Mullins will be in caretaker charge for the last 2 matches, home to Man City and away to Arsenal.

Points in the bag will help Watford.
It seems Bournemouth and Smug Eddie will lose today and fail to catch Watford.

1-1

Edit: disallowed

Ended 2-0.

Bournemouth need to win at Everton & for Watford to lose to Man City and Arsenal.

Or if villa beat Arsenal or West Ham they might survive.

Heard word that things weren't right there about 3 weeks ago so had him at 25-1 to be next manager to go. Very pleased on a number of levels.

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

Doesn't look good at all for Bournemouth.
Howe taking his team to Everton, the team he supported as a boy.
