Lots of people are leaving twitter for parler, a new platform that doesn't sensor the truth or diffrent opinion. Now facebook is under pressure!, could there be an opening for a new platform? Lots of people have had enough of the one way PC thought police media. Are we seeing the beginning of change?

I have never used Facebook or Twitter so my comments may not be accurate. It seems to me that they are under attack from both ends of the political spectrum. 1. Large corporations are now leaving some 70 odd so far because they are woke and don't want to be associated with the negative publicity whenever someone has a rant or says something inappropriate. This will really hurt their revenue stream so now they are taking steps to censor or simply ban "bad" people however you define that. 2. The public appear to be losing interest in these platforms partly because they feel that they are being censored unfairly, partly because they have the attention span of a goldfish and there is always something new. It's one thing to ban p***. threats of violence, criminality etc. However lots of other people are being banned unfairly. The journalist Peter Hitchens who writes for The Mail recently had a video banned it was only overturned after thousands of people complained. Whether you like his politics or not he is a bona fide journalist and is not in the same category as the Neo Nazis. How many ordinary folk have been censored or banned by social media unfairly but don't have the media profile to overturn it?
And when this happens the money men who forced them into this strategy will stop advertising with them as they no longer have the numbers. I think they are caught between a rock and a hard place.

Taken from the link you supplied yourself: Parler has attracted Donald Trump supporters,[8] and is noted for its far-right[12] and alt-right,[13] conspiratorial,[14][13] antisemitic,[12][14] and anti-feminist[5] content. The site also includes anti-Muslim content,[5] although it also has a user base of Saudi nationalists who support Crown Prince and de facto prime minister of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman.[8] Parler is one of a number of social network platforms, including Minds, MeWe, Gab and BitChute, that are popular with people banned from mainstream networks such as Twitter, Reddit, YouTube and Facebook.[7][10] Both The Independent [12] and Jewish news site The Forward have noted the site's antisemitic conspiracy theory content. Matze told The Forward, "If you're going to fight these peoples' views, they need to be out in the open ... Don't force these people into the corners of the internet where they're not going to be able to be proven wrong." Political scientist Alison Dagnes responded "I don’t think you can have it both ways .

Conspiracy theory, racism and Antisemitism aren't intelligent.

I have a lot of sympathy with this POV better to show these people up for what they are using the disinfectant of public scrutiny. Otherwise these people play the victim and gain sympathy because "they tell it as it is". Debate them and show them up, if you can, and if you can't then maybe you are the one with the problem.

Or do you think that any views which do not agree with the current Identity Dogma Zeitgeist should be banned altogether?

As an out and proud SERWL, I suspect you are right. But the problem is that the conventional platforms are now going so far the other way that everybody is effectively being forced to debate in echo chambers. Or do you think that any views which do not agree with the current Identity Dogma Zeitgeist should be banned altogether? It doesn’t seem possible to have an interesting exchange of views online in most cases. This site is testament to that. Opposite opinions are shut down with broad brush social justice warrior / racist bigot generalisations. Maybe it’s better just to have our own echo chambers (I understand this has already happened in CPFC terms with BBS and this site).

Facebook was much better when you still had to have a university email address to join and all the political bulls*** from the baby bombers and woke wasn’t on it at all.
