So in Wales 16- 17 year old are going to have a vote. some of these kids will understand politics and policies. Most are young dumb and basically not fit for this. Very dangerous as this will be left wing policy when they get in here and across other countries. Although once they realise how bad socialism really is it may backfire within 10 years and the left will never get back in. Heres hoping.

I don’t think many people are that clued up about politics. Could the average punter give me 3 policies each from Labour and Conservatives?

It’s easy to be condescending about the youth but I don’t think your average over-18 voter is substantially more clued up on politics.

Lifestyle experience is a bit more important tbh.
You get guided by your piers and family. I think manifestos are quite important so picking policies out of the air isnt really a necessity. I wasnt being condescending to all youths but be honest, how many would you trust with your vote.

You need to work and pay some taxes before you truly form good political opinions

Seeing as most of these 'little Darlings' dont know what they are in terms of sexual orientation, is a 'Toaster' allowed to vote?

Same argument as always. If you are adult enough at 16 to vote then you should be treated as an adult by the criminal justice system.

Many defense lawyers will trot out the medical science that says young people brains do not fully form until they are in their twenties which is why the make bad judgements.

Okay then trust the science why would you allow that group to vote. It's one or the other for me.

They could always just ban voting and let Paul the Octopus pick the winner. He has a decent track record.
