While I'm obviously against this newspaper, for myself, I don't agree that they should be criticized for this.

I say that in the knowledge that the Guardian itself contains a large majority who would think nothing of using the same accusations.

This kind of thing is censorship on free expression and leads to ever increasing restrictions.....Both the left and right need to move the dial back considerably on this.

Agreed.

The political cartoons of the 18th and 19th century were vicious compared to today's equivalent.

The point of caricatures is to exaggerate a part of the person to absurdity. I saw a great cartoon of Boris the other day with a stove pipe hat as I K Brunel it really worked you can imagine Boris as a robust no nonsense Victorian or Flashman as I like to call him.

The trouble starts when you are dealing with protected groups it's fine for Spitting Images to exaggerate Leon Brittan's lips but god help them if they do that to Diane Abbott.

So whilst I enjoy the discomfit of the Guardian they should ignore the snowflakes but just remember this the next time a Tory rag posts a cartoon of one of their own.

Amen to all of that. Let the Guardian publish whatever they want.

There are some pretty stupid comments in that article.

Politics lecturer Adrian Hilton tweeted: ‘Good grief, I hadn’t seen this derogatory caricature of a ‘sacred cow’, lampooning Priti Patel’s Indian/Hindu heritage.

The cartoon depicted both Priti Patel and Boris Johnson as bulls so it's hardly lampooning Patel's Hindu heritage

The British Tamil Conservatives added: ‘This cartoon is offensive on every level. – It’s anti-Hindu. It portrays the Home Secretary, of Hindu origin as a cow. A sacred symbol for Hindus.

If the cow is sacred to Hindus isn't portraying Patel as a cow a compliment

I'm finding the whole topic of what is offensive or not utterly tedious. Being perpetually offended is a state of mind that other cultures have brought with them.

We know the Left are hypocrites and we know minorities will attempt to make anything offensive if it suits them so let's just move on.

Danger obviously has a lot of time on his hands!Priti is a nice looking lady, but has a bottom half like a hippo, obviously the maker started her off as an angel then realised what an old bag she was going to turn in to, so gave her an enormous botty, even big bum lovers would find that ass to much to contemplate!
