I had half an hour to waste so switched on BBC News at 7 and despite us being in the middle of the worst storm since last weekend all of the news was about this "famous and much loved TV star" whom I'm happy to admit I'd never heard of until she beat up her boyfriend ( allegedly)

They went on and on and on and after 15 minutes of spinning as much as they could out of what little they knew I gave up and watched a re-run of last night's cricket

I get what you’re saying and if it wasn’t for one series of ‘I’m a celebrity get me out of here’ years ago I wouldn’t have a clue who she is either. ITV is just s***. But I think this suicide might have an influence over a lot of Internet bullies, although I think part of her reasoning to take her life might be down to major changes to her future because she was about to be found guilty from what I’ve read.

I was going to start a thread recently about how some women these days are so angry and aggressive, especially on the roads, they always have a similar appearance so it always makes me wonder why they never stop after being told how they look. 50% of their weight being excess weight.

Must admit, I didn't have a clue.

Suicide is a waste but also a personal choice, whether it's an unhinged one or not.

Some people are more disposed to this kind of action than others, but it's always sad.

Yes, plus her career was based on presenting rubbish tv with rubbish people beside her and often talentless celebrities or people they’re discussing. Take that away and life will be pretty empty for a while. Reality tv is responsible for a lot of today’s issues in society and young people, plus none of us know what it’s like to be famous or a recognised face almost wherever you go, then throw in a situation of embarrassment and shame with a likely prison sentence and career ending reputation. Some of that can be bad enough without loads of people knowing wherever you go.

I'm not really sure who Caroline Flack is and I've never watched love island.

A guy I play rugby with mentioned she was dead in the bar after tonight's game.

Usually you'd expect dark humour or opinionated comments about how she lived her life.

Except for the fact the little brother of the guy that mentioned it killed himself almost two years ago at 23.

There will be lots of family and friends of Caroline hurting at the moment. My thoughts are with those people.

That Just Jack song was great. The media and marketing companies keep trying to tell everyone that if you have more money, more stuff, and more fame then you'd be happier. Really, you need to look inward to solve those issues and see what your real values are. They just tell you that bulls*** because they are greedy money grabbing c***s with no soul.

All these people are the victims of their selfishness.

I think I sound like a lefty.

It’s the stuff, the flaunting of it and themselves that’s the problem.

Nothing wrong with discrete. Loads of people do this s*** on tick anyway so the showing off can’t be that impressive. Oh but I’m wrong because the IQ of some people mean they’re taken in by someone on an average wage who appears to be living like a WAG for a few years. All comes down to thick parents.

That's life in this modern era for you as society is dumbing down year by year and that is reflected in the TV programs that they watch.

I am certainly no highbrow but I've never watched any reality TV show which is why there are so many so called celebrities in this day and age that I've never heard of
