So, after pandering to anti migrant sentiment to win an election, the Tories do what they always do...create policy based on what those in big business instruct them to. They must be pretty scared that certain sectors of the economy are gonna be decimated by Brexit.
If punk ever happened I'd be preaching the law, instead of listenin to Lydon lecture BBC4 |

The General Election had nothing to do with anti migrant policies and the lowering of the required wage level for immigrants is to allow the care workers that we so desperately need to come over. Well done Boris

They must be pretty scared that certain sectors of the economy are gonna be decimated by Brexit. The Tories promised to take control of immigration this is not at odds with that statement. How much immigration and the quality of migrants qualifications remains to be seen. Now that we have left the EU if Boris's plan don't work he can amend them or the electorate will cast their verdict at the next GE. Immigration controls should not be written in tablets of stone but should be flexible depending on the needs of the economy and the wishes of the voters. So far nothing to see here maybe in 3 years time I will agree with you let's give it a chance first.

The Tories have presided over open borders and the cover up of rape gangs. Plus a London stabbing epidemic. All the while talking tough on crime etc. Hypocrites

The only difference between the Tories and Labour is how hard the foot is pressed down on the accelerator. Edited by Stirlingsays (09 Feb 2020 12.40pm)

Edited by Stirlingsays (09 Feb 2020 12.40pm) We had a motorway pile up in 2008 and are still clearing up the debris. Never mind politicians, a shrewdness of apes could probably run a country for ten years by just imposing cuts on everything. Inevitably, with the passage of time it all becomes dysfunctional.

I thought the stabbing epidemic had something to do with gangs. Mainly Labour councils and their social services covering up or not reporting ditto local police authorities controlled by Labour councils

Teresa May while Home Secretary was a really obstructive to 'stop and search' laws. carry a knife ? carry on.
Labour has followed a Corbyn direction....targetting the vote from Ethnics, Women, liberals, lefties, and the unemployed. With the worst election showing in nearly a hundred years. The tories have it easy at present. No credible opposition. Edited by PalazioVecchio (09 Feb 2020 2.53pm)

Pensioners playing Russian roulette, half of them not realising it, while the other half hope that they are gone before the bullet strikes. All pretty depressing really.....Like the east of Berlin before the Russians turn up. Still....We probably have a good while yet. Edited by Stirlingsays (09 Feb 2020 3.16pm)
