Romain Alessandrini, French Right Winger formerly at LA Galaxy. It’s a Micky mouse league but he was pretty good for them. Had a few fitness issues last season but managed to shake them off. A 6 month deal for some attacking cover might not be the worst idea in the world.

He is a free agent as of the end of January so could be signed, we have 3 spaces in the squad free at the moment.

Romain Alessandrini is not a bad shout, but he should have been brought in 1-2 years ago, when he was really good for Marseille or in the MLS. Last season he suffered a terrifying injury and has just come back from it, I don't know if his future will be the same as his past. Plus, he's already 30 and we have Townsend there who isn't very young either. I understood why the club felt to bring 23 year old Bowen. As that hasn't happened, a short term solution with Alessandrini for 6 months might be productive for both parties, as we certainly need a left footed backup for Townsend and he would have a comeback in a top league in Europe making sure he gets contract from the summer onwards. But wouldn;t be a game chnger after the injury.

From the list of free players, I'd look at Edwin Cardon (Colombian international, decent age, I don't know HOW he ended up on the free players list) and Vladimir Weiss (Slovak international, 30 yo), not very young but would make a decent sub as left winger.

Has anybody seen Ross McCormack in the Sainsbury's car park ? Even better Jordan Mutch is listed as well.
