Like some people, after seeing the Bowen deal and possibly the Ferguson deal slip through our fingers, I'm spending my evening watching deadline day anxiously biting my nails wondering whether Palace are going to pull a few good players out of the hat in these few final hours.

Getting Tosun and the new kid from Dundee is positive but Palace are desparately lacking a couple of full backs and a creative goalscorer, especially since Wickham is heading to Sheffield W.

Its frustrating that we seem to be leaving things to the last minute again. I'm hoping we can pull off some miracles. But with little news (hope) of this coming to fruition, a part of me is thinking if this is the worst transfer window I've seen.

Have there been worse ones?

Yes. The Ian Holloway one. About 20 players, most were championship standard at best.

Personally I’d rather we save our money than buy the wrong players.

The one from Scotland has gone to another Scottish team on loan.

So far we have Tosun on loan. Was obvious tho, players are coming back from injury now so Parish isn't spending. We don't look like going down and he's clearly happy with just avoiding relegation every season.

Letting Wickham go, if true, is absolute madness. Best striker we've got, just coming into fitness...and we loan him out.

Total utter madness.

Sorry about this but we are poor when it comes to recruitment, what is Dougie really being paid for. Last few windows have been truly pathetic.

Agreed. That Holloway window was a mess. Historically there isn’t much value in the January window so we will do well to get a decent player and a decent price and to avoid making any panic buys

Couldn’t agree more mate.

We’re going to miss his goal every three seasons.

Maybe Parish's hands are tied by the American "investers" who don't seem to want to spend a penny.. the sooner they sell up and move on the better..

From my recollection of players only Mariappa and Gayle are still around peripherally at the top level

Of course, Arsenal and Villa 'won' last summer's window and look at them now

No good Blaming Dougie . What's the point of his position or any one that takes that job . Your just working for a chairman that has made too many bad decisions and has pawned the club to the Americans . This will continue to be the same until the club is taken over and money spent on it . No transfers this window or the summer .
This club is skint

Definitely not the worst ever.

2002. We had Clinton and Dougie banging them in, which was clearly too attacking for Trevor Francis, so he signed Ade Akinbiyi.

Job done.

Can't score when you're injured...mate.

But whenever he's played, he's dangerous.

Effectively 2 in 2 at the moment.
