Does anyone remember when Lawrenson last predicted on his BBC page that Palace would win? I can't!!!

Always remembering walking from the Holmesdale to the Whitehorse end at half time!

Read some stats last week of his 'expected table' based on his predictions & he'd only got us down to win 3 games so far. Think it was 13 losses & we're 18th in his 'league'.

I think that says a lot about his knowledge / liking of Palace!

A Bighton player at the very heart of our fiercest rivalry. That he had us winning 3 matches was a miracle.

We're not the only ones though; he wrote a week or so ago about how he always has Brighton down to lose as well. He reminds me of that guy that when you're at a match you really hope he doesn't spot you as you know he'll just drone on in a voice that makes you want to shoot yourself in the face.

I always did like Hugh Grant...

I’m glad he has his own thread, always slags us off before predicting we’ll lose, I generally take it as a good omen but it does p!55 me off I have to say!

The other one is Garth Crooks. Always hated him but you know he is loathed to ever praise a palace player or put them in team of the week. I can also tell he bases his write ups on 3 minute highlights too, prick.

Yet still I use the bbc daily!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Our last three matches were draws against Southampton and Norwich and a loss to Championship Derby.

Why would any non Palace supporter expect us to win against a resurgent Arsenal, especially with half of our first team squad out injured

The predicts what he thinks will happen, I don't have a problem with anyone predicting a Palace loss so long as they are wrong.

Aside from at the top, it's a very hard division to predict this season.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

I think his predictions are a fair reflection of the relative quality of our squad. We should be about 18th and we have the manager, the guts of the players and good luck to thank for our current points tally.

We badly need a lift from a transfer or two or we will be limping towards the line come May.

My dear wife recently asserted that she cannot recall the last time 'Yours Truly' predicted a win for our beloved team.

She added that she is rather fed-up with me reacting to a defeat,by hissing and scowling wearing a face like a beaten favourite, spitting feathers and venting my spleen."I don't deserve it" is her mantra.

How can you possibly justify such an argument?!
We are ninth, on merit. No-one beats us easily and vice-versa. We've won 7, drawn 7, lost 7. By my logic, that puts as as average/above average. Spewing that Roy, the guts of the players and good luck is somehow not part of our (or any team's) capacity and right is ludicrous.
