His loan spell with us last season wasn't a great success and is not a patch on his brother who we signed in July . Would rather we signed his dad [Link]

Andre Ayew is not a bad suggestion, especially as he seems to have recovered his form of 2014-2016, when he was really good. However...I don't think he would be an upgrade from Townsend as a right winger. And reports say that Swansea is not cash strapped and would demand 10 million for the 30 year old. Within this price range, I think we could find more than 10 left footed right wingers who are better than Andre (and younger): Bowen, Bakaev from Spartak Moscow, Brandley Kuwas, Embarba, Remi Oudin, Thomas Murg, Emmanuel Rigoni, Theo Bongonda, Iago Falque, Ben Nabouhane, Angel Mena. And within 15 million we could even get 20-22 year olds who will value double that in a few years: Skov Olsen, Calvin Stengs, Matheus Pereira (who is rocking the Championship for West Brom). All of the above would be an upgrade from Andros, who has pretty much done his share for Palace. And Newcastle would always pay 15 million for him if Palace decided to sell him. Apparently off contract and now linked to us (possibly standard lazy journalism linking him to his brother).

Hope so, as we don't want another 'journey man'. We are trying to rebuild with some fresh young talent, so this would be a ridiculous appointment.

I very much doubt that Andre Ayew will sign for our club.

A scoop by that renowned journal of football 90min.com We are trying to lower our average age and wage bill and signing Andre Ayew will do the opposite of both so it's highly doubtful. Any media outlet that had even the slightest idea of what we were trying to do wouldn't print rubbish like this

If you take it that the club is seriously moving in a new direction, then this has to be rubbish.
