This is an interesting one. Just 21 but going to cost a bit. If the board cough up the readies for him and he comes that would be a major step forward in rebalancing our squad. it will also show that the board recognize they do have to shell out serious money if they want to improve our squad. HOWEVER, I won't hold my breath. There have been far too many false dawns in our transfer windows.

Celtic have reportedly slapped a 40 million quid price tag on him . Never like to see us spending big money on players - Watkins for around 10 million would be better business imo. (still a lot of money tho and I would like to see us get rid of our big earners first).

I think there is a good argument for the club not to spend big this summer. As others have pointed out who knows what's going to happen with the TV money in the future and football finances in general. If unemployment goes up will people renew their season tickets or their Sky subscription, who knows? I agree we need to revamp the squad but I would not be spending 25m on a player I think it's too much of a risk. I suspect Parish is thinking along those lines and with the Americans looking to sell it is unlikely. Anyway know which way to the bargain basement?
