I never watched the programme as I was out with my Tory chums!

Jimmy Hill was President of Corinthian Casuals.
Only yesterday I asked a Worthing supporter who they were playing on Saturday and he said Corinthian Casuals. They are struggling at the bottom of the BetVictor Isthmian League Premier Division.

I’m happy to be corrected but I’m pretty sure Corinthian Casuals are the the only league or non league team where the players don’t get paid??

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Whenever I hear about Corinthian Casuals I either think of a posh gang of hooligans or Charles 'Charlie' Charles.

I always think of cricket teams that call themselves occasionals and that maybe CC don’t have a ground. Or Alan Pardew who came from
CC.

I recall Chris Joy - son of the Evening Standard's sports writer Bernard Joy - was a stalwart of theirs for many years. A big bruising centre half if I recall.

Bernard Joy, who played for England as an amateur.

The only thing that I can think of about the Casuals is that they didnt accept goals scored by penalties.
