Retiring from boxing. Nicola Adams: Two-time Olympic champion retires over fears for her sight - [Link] She has always impressed me as a great ambassador for this country. Proud of her country and proud to represent it. I wish her every success in whatever she does next. Edited by YT (06 Nov 2019 10.36am)

She could have been as big as Katie Taylor is now. Nice lady though and wish her well.

I confess that I don't follow boxing other than getting in to it during the Olympics, so my OP was about the apparent calibre of the person and not about her prowess as a boxer or her choice of manager.

Always came across well. Women's boxing suffers from the same problem that women's football suffers from.....it's club or good park level compared to the men for obvious reasons. But there's nothing wrong with that and people can still enjoy it.

Had her losing the fight before last though. She wasnt at her best certainly. Could argue all three outcomes, but not outrageous imo.

Have never seen her box, so my abiding memory of her was when she was on Room 101 with Frank Skinner. Lovely girl but as thick as pigs hit.

I had the other girl one or two up and she was the holding champion....So Taylor walking away with her belt felt off to me. Taylor is obviously the fighter with Hearn's backing and it's obvious that if it's close she's always going to get the nod.

I think Taylor will box clever in the rematch and avoid another toe to toe.
