The Good News Thread

With what seems like a constant barrage of daily 'bad news' that seems to take up the airwaves, papers and online forums I thought I'd create a place where the good stuff can get a well deserved airing. So if you find something positive and uplifting whack it up here and spread the cheer (and who knows this could even be a bickering free zone!) What better way to start than this local hero...

Keeping my own thread alive Saw a small exhibition by these guys the other day at an event. Didn't realise it was a british expat until reading a bit more about the project. Always good when sport is used to create a positive change. Found an old article about them online but they're obviously still doing good work.

Thank you for posting the link to the surf story, you are so right both those stories do restore faith in humankind a bit, I wonder if I can find some similar story...so easy to just go negative but uplifting in these revolting times to find the positive.
