I'm coming up with my son by train. Hoping to get there a hour or more before hand, as I hate rushing across London in the rush hour. Are any of the pubs allow kids, so I can have a beer beforehand? He's nearly 11 so i'm not bothered about bad language etc, just somewhere we can go for awhile.

Try the Two Brewers in Gloucester Rd near Selhurst Stn on 157/75 bus route. Very close to the HF pub the Holmesdale

Thanks for the help. I normally come in via Norwood Junction, and the pubs I used to frequent before marriage and kids seem to have disappeared (Goat House, Port Manor, the Alliance). Any nearer Norwood Junction station that may be ok?

He's heard me curse a few times before now, especially at technology! We've been a couple of times before and we go to see our local team Chelmsford City a few times a season. We get free tickets a couple of times a year as he plays for their under 11's and gets to be a ball boy.

BEWARE!! Not everywhere - there's been a few around for a while now but we noticed at the Herta Berlin game that a few more roads have signs up stating 7am-midnight on match days or special events.

No idea if they're actually being 'policed' as such.

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!

The Colchester penalty area will probably be vacant.
