For Me. --------Guaita-------- Ward--Dann--Kelly--PVA Townie-Luka-Macca--Meyer -------Wilf-Ayew-------
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

Guaita Ward Kelly Dann PVA Andros Luka Max Wilf Camarasa Benteke
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

I imagine the only change we'll see (barring injuries) is Zaha coming in for Ayew, who despite working really hard and playing well in the last game is still less of a goal threat than Wilf. I would be interested to see Camarasa and Wilf up top together as the former has the ability to play through balls to take advantage of Wilf's pace and guile, while also acting as a link between midfield and attack. Not really sure who I prefer out of Cahill and Dann, but given the clean sheet it seems reasonable that Scotty keeps his place.

Hodgson will of course take account of how Sheff Utd set-up and this might influence his thinking. In the Championship, Sheff Utd were very adventurous with their centre-halves coming forward and overlapping which of course was unique and they engineered overloads in wide areas so if they still deploy such tactics in the PL we could well be tested down the flanks unless of course we play 2 up front and occupy their central defenders.Sheff Utd used to play 3 central defenders in the Championship.

If they employ this tactics and we have Zaha Andros and Camarasa on the pitch, we will roast them.

He's not a horses for course man, he's a "if I play exactly the same way 38 times in a row, I'll get a result 33% of the time and we'll stay up" kind of boring coach. Injury or disobedience are the only factors that make him change a starting player.

That's exactly how they played against Bournemouth Willo. Id imagine it will be the same again against us. Edited by EddieMac (13 Aug 2019 10.45am)

I wasn't implying that he would make significant changes because of their style of play.I mentioned that he "Might" be influenced, thinking that he could make a tweak or two in order to counter the opposition's strengths.
