Its ok, better than a week ago. Camarasa is a class act. But we still did not get another right back or a striker which we needed. We kept Wilf but we now have the great sulk with us until January, so i would rather we had got say 70 million and signed Sarr for 25 million to replace him

I think this window confirms that our club is being badly run.

We brought in another centre-back (not fit to play straight away) on 75k p/w at 33 years of age. We already have 4 centre-backs. We are left with one left-back - the perpetually under-performing PVA, and one right-back - Ward, who has struggled at this level for a while.

We have needed a striker for ages. We did not buy one.

Camarasa is good business. McCarthy might come good. But we haven't spent the money where it needs to be spent.

Our team now is weaker than it was last season. That is unacceptable.

I am very sorry to say we are being run by a bunch of complete amateurs. This window again is a complete joke, very very disappointed indeed. Long hard season in front of us again.

Oh, and nobody dare post that keeping Zaha is like a signing in itself

This window has been a shambles. I think the Wilf saga late in the day has maybe affected a few moves today too that's what happens when you gamble to save a few quid and do business late. We're clearly skint or have some problems behind the scenes with the Americans and maybe a disconnect between Dougie, Moody and Roy never seem on same page do they?

Saying that looking at the squad purely for next season Cahill is an improvement on Kelly and Dann and a leader that were lacking at back when Sakhos out. McCarthy and Camarasa are improvements on Sako and Puncheon. Ayew should improve slightly on last year too now he's permanent and been around the club. The key is Benteke and Wickham they can't play less minutes or be worse than last year with 2 goals between them so let's see? I'm certain Meyer will also be effective so I'm staying pragmatically positive. Having said that how do you sell your player of the year for 50 million and not add any replacement is beyond belief. Ward and Kelly for the season is comedy gold they were awful as the right backs 2 seasons ago. Eagles...

I can't imagine that Roy Hodgson is pleased although he will probably put a brave face on it.

We have three strikers that can't muster a goal between them and despite being linked with a number of goal strikers we didn't manage to sign one of them.

Parish has done a fine job in his nine years at the helm but it's clear that he can't take the club any further and if he's the fan that he always claims to be then he should consider selling up to someone with deeper pockets

Luka doesn't sound too happy about our window either, which of course might mean he doesn't sign a new deal: [Link]

"It will be hard this season, we have to see how the season will start. At the moment we have some issues with players with injuries, I don't expect honestly an easy start but we will see.

For me as a captain it is very hard to give some comment about [the lack of signings].

Of course I have my opinion but it is hard to say my opinion in public, because that is something for the people within the club. That is their job, their responsibility and I am the player in the team and I try to do my best with the players we have."

Don't forget we hung on to Wilf. He will be like a new signing. 😆
