Of course it was rejected... Chelsea won't be selling while they have transfer ban. Also I think he will get opportunity this year at Chelsea. He was superb out on loan at Wigan last season.

I saw him play for Wigan with some aplomb in central midfield but I think he also played for Wigan at right-back.Has scored from free kicks over a wall so he has this in his armoury.Joined Chelsea as a striker.

RLC virtually had to become one of their top 3 players before he even got a chance.

We've been in the Premiership long enough now to not have to rely on loan signings every year. It shows we like the cheap option lol

You must’ve noticed our wage bill being 8th or 9th in the Prem and our revenue, ground, crowds, league finishes, absolutely everything are nowhere near 8th-9th. We might blag 11th in the last handful of but the financial condition of CPFC is not up there with Leicester, West Ham, Everton etc. More like 14/15th, and probably slipping now.

I've always thought it bad financial sense to hand huge wages just get players to sign, most on free transfers. We then stuck with players who wont leave and just run down their contracts. Our transfer strategy is terrible really, I think everyone will agree on that.

Our transfer strategy is terrible really, I think everyone will agree on that. Let’s face it, each season we have struggled to stay in the PL and last season was the first time we weren’t in the bottom 3 for long periods. In order to stay up we have signed expensive players on big wages like Benteke and Sakho, without the income to cover ...So in a way we are stuck with this. Hopefully Freedman et al will succeed in bringing in higher quality players at less cost, but finding the mythical golden egg bargain happens every few years but not very often

I am somewhat stupefied by reports in multiple publications that we bid £20 Mill for a defender whose only experience in senior football has been in the Championship. Sometimes the 'Bush telegraph' disseminates substantial dollops of folderol. Edited by Willo (21 Jul 2019 1.24pm)
