Just heard he is unhappy at Southampton as he has to train with the under 23s , They will let him go for about £8 mill , worth a punt ?

Worth a punt although I think 8 mill is a bit steep but he still does score goals so it's worth getting him in. He would score more than our other strikers which isn't saying much I know.

Since we're not going to shift any of our current strikers, we're probably only going to get one in - and he has to be relied on as our main striker all season. I don't think we can rely on Austin for that (although I'd take him over any of our current forwards).

Not another 'Charlie Austen' thread. The last one was over 80 pages and he had never expressed any interest in us. I think he would be good. At least he wouldn't be scoring against us.....

Five or six years to late I am afraid! Past his best and in my opinion the last thing we need is a big slow striker! Let’s look at a strikers with a bit of pace who get in and about defenders! Maupay springs to mind and he’s only 23!
