My wife and I are trying to set up a business page on one of the social media websites I’m not sure if I am allowed to mention the name on here. If I can just explain a little we have a pitch in a very large warehouse that has its own website and we are trying to link to that website so customers can see our items and products.

The problem is half way though creating this business page I have now been completely shut out because the media website is asking for a photograph of myself for security reasons and they will not reopen the business page for at least 72 hours. The website assures that the photo of myself will be destroyed after this time period but I feel this is a rather extreme security measure. In light of all this face recognition process problems and I do wonder where it will ends up
it seems that this is not a rare request from this media website others media have also randomly asked for this. In light of all the other security questions they ask I find this a bit over the top. Has anyone else experienced this.

I booked a villa through Airbnb and they asked me to upload a photo to my profile so that the villa owner would recognize me.

I did as I couldn't see any reason not to

That I can understand and to be honest that is a different thing altogether it gives the owner reassurances that they are talking to the right person.
This is Facebook I’m talking about which have no customer services. So why do they need a photograph how do they check the photograph and basically are they going to ask their so call 333million people they reportedly have using Facebook for a photograph

I went to Leeds Castle in Kent for a day out recently and they took my photo before allowing me entry. Still I had the last laugh I wonder how much it will cost to replace the camera lens.

Send this in, they won't dare question it in case it's real and might cause offence.

Well I’m glad you all think it’s funny, I have never used Facebook before as I mentioned above trying to link our small sideline business into a a business page. Facebook have all my details date birth address etc All I want to do is post pictures of our items on the website when they completely disabled my connection again. Now the only way to connect is to send a copy of driving licence, passport and bank statements to prove who I am. Well I can tell you this they can go and F ** themselves, for a social media site they informed me that all information will not be shared but is stored on their computers for ID reasons
