Advice to potential ticket buyer

Hello! Palace Fan from Canada setting off to spend the coming year in the UK (my wife is on a short-term work transfer). We'll be living in Oxfordshire (so, a two hour train/tube trip from Selhurst) but I'm seriously considering buying a season ticket and coming to as many matches as I can during the year. Some questions for experienced ticket holders: 1) Does it make sense to spend the extra money to buy a season seat knowing that I won't be able to attend all the home fixtures? Is it easy enough to get rid of extra tickets? Should I just consider trying to get seats on a game-by-game basis instead? 2) Were I to buy a season ticket, where should I get it? Hello!

Palace Fan from Canada setting off to spend the coming year in the UK (my wife is on a short-term work transfer). Some questions for experienced ticket holders:

1) Does it make sense to spend the extra money to buy a season seat knowing that I won't be able to attend all the home fixtures? Is it easy enough to get rid of extra tickets? Should I just consider trying to get seats on a game-by-game basis instead?
2) Were I to buy a season ticket, where should I get it? I was considering section 114 in the Arthur Wait.

here's my opinion. It may be different from others though I will warn you 1) You will struggle to get tickets for the big games if you try and buy on a match by match basis. Also the amount you save on a season ticket makes missing games not as big an issue. I've not tried to sell tickets before but I guess the smaller games you may struggle and the higher profile, ppl will be chomping at your hand for those 2) I sit in the Main Stand Players Lounge because they have a bar and in the winter it's a big advantage. Depends what you are looking for. If you are looking for atmosphere then the lower tier of Holmesdale and Arthur Wait are right for you I wish you good luck whatever you may decide

You can buy a season ticket, miss a few games and still get your money’s worth, mine cost £495, if I pay by the game, it would cost me well over £700, plus I’m guaranteed my seat, no hassle getting tickets or fear of disappointment

1) You have picked a lovely county in which to live, albeit that I'm biased. 2) I know of a Palace season ticket holder based in France, who can only attend about a half to two-thirds of matches per season. For the matches he can't attend, he sells the seat via the CPFC-endorsed Twickets site. He says that it's really straightforward, and he's never failed to sell his seat. There is s commission payable to Twickets but it's relatively modest. 3. It's possible to print an e-ticket, which you can then pass to another Palace fan. There are four of us and the way the premier league rearrange fixtures for TV moving games to Sunday's and night fixtures really messed things up for us as we were missing so many games (kids school nights and Sunday football matches) If you get in quick when tickets are released a membership will get you a ticket - phone the box office though - the website is rubbish. Hi, Me too a Canadian living in Calgary. For the past 2 seasons I have been on a season ticket share with a young lad who was going to University. He wants his season ticket back this year. Listen I would gladly take 5 or 6 matches off your hands. I just cannot do more than once a month, I need to know in advance as booking flights, time off work etc. Last minute just doesn’t work for me. So if you think this might work for you, message me. Well living in Switzerland , I have bought a season ticket twice in the past 5 years but for 6 or so games a season I reckon the best way is to get a gold membership and get the tickets you want either off here or Twickets, or even buy off the club. As I like old stand for me Twickets is the better solution as the club seems to only have tickets for the back of the AW, and I don't like the gantry which gets in the way. Glad All Over

Well living in Switzerland , I have bought a season ticket twice in the past 5 years but for 6 or so games a season I reckon the best way is to get a gold membership and get the tickets you want either off here or Twickets, or even buy off the club.

As I like old stand for me Twickets is the better solution as the club seems to only have tickets for the back of the AW, and I don't like the gantry which gets in the way.

Mate, I live in Oxfordshire and had a season ticket in the gallery which I gave up because the travel took its toll. Not as if we were even winning. The Arthur Wait is an absolute toilet of the first order with cramped seats, horrendous queues for bogs/turnstiles and piss warm bottled lager. I tend to go to a couple of home games hospitality and 4 or 5 away games (if you're driving to Selhurst from Oxfordshire it's actually quicker to get to United away as the traffic is horrendous).

The Arthur Wait is an absolute toilet of the first order with cramped seats, horrendous queues for bogs/turnstiles and piss warm bottled lager.

I tend to go to a couple of home games hospitality and 4 or 5 away games (if you're driving to Selhurst from Oxfordshire it's actually quicker to get to United away as the traffic is horrendous).
