Sturridge in my opinion is the better player and worth getting on a pay as you play deal.

If Sturridge stays fit then he is a £40/50m striker. His agent knows this and as such he will be commanding a big wage despite his injury record. For those that can afford it it's a calculated risk. Given our need to trim the wage bill I don't see us as falling into that pool. Wellbeck is not as good as Sturridge but carries the same injury risk, the only plus being he would probably command a lower wage. A no from me.

Would gladly take Sturridge if the deal was right. Plenty of experience, plenty of goals, played international level - likely still would be if it wasn`t for injuries.
