Should there be any truth in this rumour would be very pleased. In my opinion certainly the kind of players we should be looking at. Both young and I would imagine with a hunger to prove themselves at the top level.

Maupay i believe will score goals at all levels and could well be a good addition alongside the likes of Benteke or Wickham!

I must admit I still think Maupay will join up with his old boss at Villa

Would be over the moon if we pulled this off, not a bad price for two players either considering the current transfer climate.

Considering their prices...it's very difficult to see this with good eyes.

Very good players for their ages, indeed. But why wasn;t anyone at the club to spot Maupay and Watkins before the blossomed in the Championship? If the board had been smart, they'd have been gotten by Palace years ago, when they cost a quarter their current price, raised with wan Bissaka for a while and then loaned out to play in the Championship. And now they'd have gotten back, with no charge, to play for Palace. That would have been good business.

We tried it with Sorloth, however we are obviously not very good at spotting this talent thing so we wait until they are half decent and pay three times the price.

We can’t scout every player who comes good, why weren’t t we aware of Ngolo Kante before Leicester signed him- you win some you lose some.

Brentford have a proven track record of nabbing gems for low cost and selling on for large profit:

Few examples
Chris Mepham Sold 12 million
John Egan signed for free sold for 4m
Jota signed for 1m sold for 6m
Scott Hogan sold for 10m

Maybe the price is good but I thought we were skint. How would we fund this purchase without selling one or both of our prized assets?

Maybe we should be looking at poaching Brentford's scouting team - cheaper in the long run !

I know, thats the only thing that makes me question links towards players that cost significant money (£10m+).
Im hoping theres money available from somewhere, god knows where but we can hope.

I'd be happy with these two players, especially if it meant that we could get rid of Benteke.
