Shirt Sponsorship

Excuse my ignorance but how can wolves basically nick our shirt sponsors? They were only one year into a three year deal with theirs which they’ve broken and we were two years into ours again which has been broken. So we are back to having no shirt sponsors?

And like several other comments on the stadium plans we rely heavily on commercial income I guess like this? Because we haven’t announced it formally I only heard on talkSPORT I’m guessing the club are slightly annoyed or embarrassed about it which I would be to hope our lawyers are looking into this.

Are you absolutely sure it's an exclusive contract, or are they simply going to sponsor both clubs. There are other examples of brands sponsoring more than one club at a time if that is the case, it's not unheard of.

they sponsored Bournemouth as well last season, so no reason why they won't sponsor multiple teams this season

As far as i can see, both teams will be sponsored by them rather than us being dropped. Thats how the press are reporting it anyway

I hope we find a new sponsor with a less ghastly moniker than our present one. I'd thought having a company name on a PL team with constant TV exposure would be sought after ?

Most people didn't like them anyway. Personally I am fed up with the ever closer relationship between top football and betting. Just like that between tobacco companies and sport (motor racing and snooker say,) in the past. A personal view but one Bourne of hard lessons, gambling is addictive and can ruin lives. It might be seen to be ok to put a different game sponsor on kids shirts but the sheer amount of gambling adverts and sponsors makes me uncomfortable. Oh for the glory days of TDK or when Liverpool were sponsored by Crown paints.

Sorry but what on earth are you smoking? Where does it say that they have stolen our sponsor? Companies can sponsor multiple teams at once, Mansion sponsored both us and Bournemouth.... Until I see otherwise, they are still our sponsor and you've made some ridiculous jump to conclusions.

Just thinking out loud, is there a conflict of interest there? I wouldn't have thought so... seeing how sport brands sponsor multiple teams kits. An example, wolves v palace last game of season, palace have nothing to play for, but if wolves win they get another year in europe which would obviously give more exposure for the brand?
