Palace will face FC Luzern at the Tissot Arena in Bienne on Tuesday 9th July 2019 (KO 20:00 CEST/ 19:00 BST), and BSC Young Boys at Stadium Neufeld in Bern on Saturday 13th July 2019 (KO 15:00 CEST/ 14:00 BST).

Suggest Easyjet to GVA from LGW is the way to go, and the train directly from the airport (you can buy train tickets in advance from cff.ch).

If anyone wants any help with the logistics, pm me or write here and I'll try to help as best I can.

Below are my comments from the Palace thread.

"Ha Brilliant! I can't make the Tuesday game against Luzerne as I already have tickets for the Montreux Jazz festival! (Joe Jackson).

On the other hand Bern on the Saturday is doable, if anyone wants a pre match beer PM me and we'll sort out a meet.

If anyone is flying through Geneva, as I live that way we could maybe do a post match beer on the Saturday, or the Sunday for those flying back late."

Depends which matches you are going to but Bienne and Berne are about half way to Either Zurich or Geneva.

Easyjet row 12 and 13 have extra legroom but you have to pay for it, could use Swiss too. BA does both Geneva and Zurich.

That’s a very good question, Bienne hasn’t got much going for it so I would suggest going up a mountain for a little fresh air between games. (Hotels will be cheaper too!)
Montreux jazz festival is on that week and there are lots of good bands on and a lot of free stuff going on too. Beware though Montreux is expensive hotel wise if you can even get one, so suggest if you fancy that suggest staying in Lausanne and commute the 20 mins on the train to the festival. This post has been merged from a topic called ' How to get to Bern for the pre season game' by bexleydave

Has anybody worked out a practical way of getting there? Would love to go, but looks like a bit of a challenge!

All good. Nothing bad.

fly to Geneva - 3 or 4 hours on the train via Lausanne - very busy arterial line - cracking little city, some punky arnacho trndy cultural complex with bars, and generally nice euro trashy night life with lovely old buildings, you might get w***dorf'd!

True as it adds ticket insurance which you can untick.

I had a look too of trains from Milan, but it's quite a journey and not too cheap too...
I did hope for something better to be honest.
It will take from 4 to 5 hrs with 2 or 3 train changes. Fares are about 65-75 GBP one way.
