Today Ive reached that milestone.
50 years a fan of the Red & Blue, Claret & Blue etc.
That day 19th April 1969, changed my life forever!
Beating Fulham 3-2 to win promotion to 1st Division!

My favorite all time match beating Liverpool 4-3 in 1990.

Worse match - I was so bored!! Last match of a season watching a 0-0 bore draw with Huddersfield.

what was your highs & low?

50 years. Blimey! I'm a mere novice by comparison. Well done.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

My first game: August 29th 1962, Palace v Shrewsbury, an evening game under the new floodlights. A 2-2 draw. I was hooked. Bought a bobble hat and a rattle which I painted black and white (because they were the colours we were playing in at that time) and went to every home game for years after that.
Best Palace memory: the Burnley home game in 1979. An attendance that will never be exceeded, tension and elation that will never be beaten. Venables's exciting young 'team of the eighties' went up as champions, pipping Brighton. It doesn't get better than that.
Worst: seems odd to say it, but maybe the Zenith Data Systems cup final against Everton. Went with my Dad to what was a meaningless game, but it was a Wembley final so we went. Stood together in the tube in a packed carriage listening (embarrassed) to the 'tits, fanny and Palace' chant, walked together through the tunnel at Wembley Way through a river of urine from a line of blokes pissing, had seats 2 from the front so could hardly see anything of the game apart from players' knees, and, feeling dejected and disillusioned after a really boring 45 mins with the score at 0-0, we left. Palace went on to win it 4-1 in extra time! Moral of that story - never go to a game with your Dad, and never ever leave a game early!

A few months behind you my first game was against Man United in the Old division one which was probably August.

Best memory tough call between Burnley 1979 and the Zenith Data Cup final.

Oh I know all about the thin can someone remind me about the thick.

57 years, my first match as a 5 year old was Notts County in the 3rd Div South. Most memorable match has to be the semi against Liverpool when we defied all odds.
Miss the Percy Daltons peanuts sold by the Italian lady but hey ho!!

44 years, and I’ve still got all my own hair!!

It’s funny really, I’ve gone through life with everything changing constantly over the years, but one thing has stayed the same, the only thing I’m still doing now that I was as a small boy, going to watch Palace.

First match 1957 third division south lost to QPR.Remember a couple of years later we had Mike Deakin at C/F Tony Collins L/W and Alfie Noakes F/B.Things started to look up when Johnny Byrne came out of the army and we had a good team.Followed Palace ever since.Low point when Steve Kember was manager. We played some dire football under Alan Smith but still got promoted but all things considered it has been great to be a fan for the last 60 years
