Just completed this survey. I am not pro or Anti Transgender but this survey is not impartial and is full of loaded questions quite clearly an agenda going on here.

One more point

Not hard to see how 50% of school leavers go to uni.

Agreed and their agenda wasn't even subtle. What annoys me if this had been produced by the LBGT community well would what you expect. The three people are academics so I would have hoped for a more nuanced and impartial survey.

Instead we got the type of opinion poll that political parties produce e.g. if Labour you ask questions such as:

Who is stronger on NHS, Welfare, Pensions, Benefits etc.

I don't know who they're bosses are but I would take them to task for shoddy work "must do better".

One more point

Been thinking about this. I hope the people behind this survey realise they are talking to the wrong people.

As a man I couldn't care less if a woman footballer declared as a man she will not be physically good enough to compete in the men's game at any decent level.

If a man declares as a women I still don't care because I tend not to watch women's sport. In other words I have no skin in the game.

The people who should be asked are women competitors and supporters as these are the ones most impacted. I hope that these academics take that into account.

One more point

Good observation. My take is that as you have to state your gender in the survey, part of its purpose may be to see if there are differences between the responses of men and women.

I completed the survey and thought the format was very open ended, rather than trying to push for certain reponses. For what it's worth I uniformly said that I thought it was a bad idea to allow trans women to perform in womens sports.

Fair point and hopefully they will ask Mumsnet for their views.
