I don’t think it’s where we are in the table or the points that people are unhappy with. It’s the fact that those points are mainly away from home and most of us predominantly watch palace at home so it’s been a miserable season!

We are at a crossroads,we either sack Roy and get a new manager every season or we stick with the Roy/Ray combination and gain stability,as we have never had stability in this league it is worth a try in my view. With a tweak or two this side has great potential, Manchester City would agree,Oh! sorry that was away and doesn't count !

Being around the other side of the world I have watched all of the games on TV, home or away. So for me, on balance overall, I have quite enjoyed the season's football. Had I only watched the home games (and paid a considerably sum for the privilege) I would no doubt feel short-changed. For me, Roy has done a good job. If we had had a striker during the first half of the season that could put the onion in the onion bag in less than 10 attempts, we would be comfortably top half.

But really feel we could havd done better. He's got uz well organised, hard to beat and great away from home. What I don't get, or like is that we play thd same team/system/tactics home or away, wether we are playing man city or Huddersfield. I despaired at the home games against Brighton and Huddersfield. Surely to God we should havd attacked them frpm thd start, getting more players forward and supporting thd striker. No we just sat back, keeping men behind thd ball, passing sideways...awful. and I won't even mention his substitutions. So for me it's a bit like my school reports were. Did well but could do better..

Well written and accurate description of our season and RH. I'm sure we are in a stronger position with the squad we have in place at present, some ageing but generally stronger in depth than many years gone by. RH for me has done a fantastic job, players seem happy and Wilf looks like he's staying for the time being. If we can retain AWB as well that is a real step forward. RH will never please everybody, he has IMO given the club much-needed stabilisation. If SP can free up some cash for a new striker on the books and creative mid-fielder for me the future looks bright. One thing we really need to do is push on with the ground development, in fact, it's urgent!! So to sum up, thanks Roy and keep well.

I’m just fed up watching boring football with the occasional world class performance thrown in about twice a season. We are so predictable with our selections, our set up, our tactics and our substitutions. The only real surprise to me is that more teams haven’t worked us out. I am not totally anti-Roy. I admire his defensive structure (although our narrow defence does get found out by all the decent teams), but I see nothing evolving in our tactics. It is just the same old stuff week in week out with desperation changes made in the last 10 minutes when it is too late to really effect the game. Yes we have done ok this season, yes we have maintained our PL status for another year, but have I enjoyed the football? That’s a big no I’m afraid.

Not wishing to start an argument but what is it you want to see? With the players we have, if we start going attacking mad we will soon end up in the Championship of that I'm sure. That idiot Pardew tried and look what happened.

Some supporters I have talked to believe that the end justifies the means.

That truly is a sensible write up and as such probably won't resonate with some on here I feel the ' home ' pain same as everyone else. I'm a season ticket holder and travel a fair distance to get to Selhurst Park. It hasn't been much fun this season. A bit more composure in front of goal and we would have had a few more points. But you have to look at the bigger picture. We have a very good away record that has underpinned our league position.

Not sure quite what people expect from us! I'll take another season like this, and another, and another ... etc
